Svelte

/README.md

Svelte is a radical new approach to building user interfaces, created by Rich Harris while at The New York Times. Unlike React or Vue, Svelte is a compiler — your components get compiled into highly efficient imperative code at build time, eliminating the need for a runtime framework.

SvelteKit is the official application framework, providing routing, SSR, SSG, and full-stack features on top of the Svelte compiler. Svelte 5 introduced runes for fine-grained reactivity.

/DESCRIPTION.md

Compiler-first UI framework. No virtual DOM — Svelte compiles your components into tiny vanilla JS.

✨ Features

🪄 Compile, Not Runtime

No virtual DOM. Components compiled to direct DOM operations. Tiny bundle sizes.

✨ Runes

Svelte 5 reactivity primitives. $state, $derived, $effect — explicit and fine-grained.

🗂️ SvelteKit

Full framework — file-based routing, SSR, SSG, form actions, edge-ready deployment.

🎬 Built-In Transitions

Animations and transitions as part of the language. fly, fade, scale — zero extra deps.

🧠 Stores

Tiny built-in stores for shared state. Writable, readable, derived — auto-subscribed in templates.
