Loki

/README.md

Loki is a horizontally scalable, highly available, multi-tenant log aggregation system inspired by Prometheus. Created by Grafana Labs and written in Go, Loki is designed to be very cost-effective and easy to operate. It does not index the contents of the logs, but rather a set of labels for each log stream.

Combined with Grafana for visualization, Loki provides a Prometheus-style experience for logs at a fraction of the storage cost of full-text indexes.

/DESCRIPTION.md

Horizontally scalable, multi-tenant log aggregation system. Prometheus for logs — index labels, not text.

✨ Features

📜 Label Indexing

Index labels, not log bodies. Cheap storage; fast targeted queries by stream.

🔍 LogQL

PromQL-inspired query language for logs. Filter, parse, aggregate, alert.

☁️ Object Store

Stores logs in S3/GCS/MinIO. Compute and storage scale independently for cost control.

👥 Multi-Tenant

Built-in tenancy. Strict isolation by tenant ID for shared infrastructure scenarios.

🚀 Grafana-Native

First-class Loki data source in Grafana. Switch between metrics and logs in one dashboard.
